I always have bowel troubles but never this bad, i started a colon cleanse and nothing happened, then last night i took 2 stool softeners and still nothing!! i have been drinking TONES of water!!

what can i do!??!?!?!

since then, after the radiation, I have had 2 major surgerys to my lower body, abdomen, and rectal area. this pain in my legs, jumps back and forth, from one leg to the next, and almost always, ends up solely, in the left leg, and around the knee cap, above the knee, down in the calf of my leg, and the upper thigh. This pain wakes me at night, and unless I stay on pain meds, I cannot get thru a day to good. The doctors, do not know what is causing it, I have had scans, MRI, xrays, ect. Now , they are telling me, I must have Chronic Nerve damage, possible coming from the pevic area. They want to send me to a pain managemant clinc. I am not sure what a pain management clinic can do? This has been going on now for 2 years. anyone have any input, that may help me? Thanks in advance…… Munchkin

I was in the hospital 2 weeks ago and I had an IV in my left arm, now I can still feel the vein and I keep hitting it and it’s getting sore. I know ice helps a blown vein, but this vein isn’t blown. Does anyone have any advice.

The nasojejunal feeding tube has two advantages. 1, direct access to small intestine for contrast agent. 2, allows for small intestine distention.

The tube has one disadvantage. 1, absolute torture.

Would like to entirely avoid the nose tube, was extremely painful before.

Could I discuss with my consultant and radiographer to consume the contrast orally, in combination with the intravenous?

I’ve been seeing a lot of media on Colon Cleansing these days. There are those that alledge that the body retains a lot of old fecal matter from years back and accumulates over time. Thus doing a colon cleanse gets rid of all this. Is that really true? I find that hard to believe.

I just completed a colon cleanse with a kit from Blessed Herbs with laxative herbs, psyillium and powdered bentonite. My skin has been cleared and I feel more energetic after the cleanse and now, I’ve also been eating better with high fiber diet and lots of clean water.

I was quite regular prior to the cleanse with 1 bowel movement every day. After the cleanse, I am regular but frequently get 2-3 BMs a day. Problem is, I cannot understand why my stools are now so much thinner, but long. Prior to the cleanse, I had fatter, shorter stools.

Is there a chance that the psyllium/bentonite got stuck in my intestines or some other obstruction? I’ve also done a couple of enemas but my stools remain thin ( around 3/4 inch ) and long. I’m not constipated and I pass stools easily.

Will somebody who has knowledge of what’s going on put my mind at ease? I really don’t know how to deal with it if I got something stuck in my colon.

I’ve lost a bunch of weight, but have really been stuck for a while with what I would guess to be around 10 pounds of fat. I really can’t diet and exercise much more than i am right now, and I’ve been thinking that maybe a colon cleanse will do the job. How do these cleanses actually make you lose weight? Do these cleanses help to burn fat, or is the weight that you lose just junk trapped in your body. What I’m asking is whether I’ll lose pounds of fat, or just weight. Thanks.

Stomach cramps,gas,constipation, straining to use the bathroom? Pain in the lower and upper stomach? Sometimes thinking I need to use the bathroom when it ends up just being gas? while I have pain in the upper stomach it isnt like the lower stomach area.

I’ve been having strong B.H contractions and period like pains in my abdomen and achy back.
Its painful but mild.
Now, whenever this happens, my vaginal and rectal areas hurt.
The rectal area hurts like I have to go to the bathroom.
Vaginal area hurts like its sore.

I leaked "something" this morning and my doctor tested it. She says it wasn’t amnionic fluid or urine. She thinks I’m in early labor and I’m 2cm dilated.
She thinks the clear/pale pink fluid could be my mucus plug etc.

Either way, I am at home right now and I’m experiencing these pains.

Have you ever had rectal and vaginal pain during these early labor contractions?

Hey everyone, I have been reading a ton about diets and everyone swears on this new Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse diet, so i ordered the 2 bottles of pills and I’m supposed to get them in 2 days. I was wondering if anyway has tried this or is thinking about trying it because Id really love to know if it works !!

I have a condition that after two or three days I have no movement without a stimulation, I t works, but I have pain and rectal bleeding. Then it goes away and starts again after a few weeks. The oproctologist gave me a suppository, CANASA, but I still suffer. Can you recommend ?
