Alright, I’m an adolescent guy. (13). I have been having an irritated rectum for a few days (like 5). It was and still is, itchy. Today, I went to the bathroom and wiped my butt to remove the itch, but then there was blood on the toilet paper. I was at school, but when I got home, I asked my mom. She went to sleep w/o helping, so now, I just found blood again. It is only small amounts, I am not going to bleed to death, but I just wanted to know if anything is suggested. I used Vaseline which removed itchiness until I had to "pass stool" we shall say. As soon as the Vaseline was removed, the pain returned and was worse.
Yes, I am 13. I just love english. I looked up the symptoms for the reasons you gave me and mine do not match. There is a very small ammount of blood.
Thanks guys, I resolved the problem. It was just irritation. Thanks for your help.
I have taken mother nature diet and there are roles on my tummy (loose skin). I am dieting but my stomach have large roles. What should I do or use to get it down quickly?
I have heard that fasting can do miracles for your energy level and overall well being. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start and how to proceed? I also have heard that you must detox your colon prior to a fast otherwise you can get poisoned. Is it true and how do you do it?
Sound dangerous to me – like you could be stripping important protective linings away. Mankind has gone a million years not worrying about it; now suddenly it’s a major health concern. I can’t turn on the TV or radio and not see or hear an infomercial about it. Or is this just another gimmick to convince people to spend money on homeopathic remedies they really don’t need? I also heard that there could be some dangerous and untested compounds in these preparations that can cause kidney damage. Is this true?
I know that this is kind of a gross question, but I’m just curious because I think I have it and I’m going to the doctor to see and I just want to know and be prepared for it…
Like in length and diameter of the small intestine to its ability to digest food and absorb nutrients.
I heard that you should have a bowel movement TWICE a day, and that this is normal.
Having a bowel movement once a day is fine, too.
Having a bowel movement every other day is not very good,
and having a bowel movement every few days is very irregular (bad).
I tend to have bowel movements every few days, and I didn’t know that it’s not normal. I eat plenty of salads (atleast one a day). I don’t eat a lot of cheese, or things that would cause constipation.
I thought maybe I should take some powder fiber for my drinks, but I heard that it’s bad, and that I should cleanse my colon. I have tried "colon cleanse" pills, but I think it was just a gimmic because they did absolutely nothing!
What suggestions would you give?
How regular are your bowel movements.
Should I get this checked out, or just change my diet, and add on some fiber options.
The only medication that I’m on is Lybrel Birth Control.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a last ditch treatment that is not allopathic? Such as cessium chloride, diet, etc?
I need to pretty much clean all the junk out of my intestines; but I can’t afford to spend a lot of money on it. Any suggestions on a cheap, effective, easy way to clean out my intestines? I tried to drink some Epsom salt and water earlier.. it was so horrible tasting. I took like 2 drinks of it.
Does anyone know any herbal remedies to cleaning your colon. I want to start working out and really want to nice abs. I also want my colon cleaned so I wont build up toxins. I really would prefer like supplemental drinks.
I have been awakened at night by severe rectal pain (lasting about 5 painful minutes) so I looked it up and found that it’s called Proctalgia fugax, a severe, episodic rectal pain that usually occurs at night, a muscle cramp in the wrong place at the wrong time, rectal spasms or just plain pain in the anus…
It could last a few seconds to a few minutes so most people do not even report it to their doctors.
Warm baths and massages seem to relieve it but I’d like to know if any one of you people found other true and tried methods to relieve that pain in the butt fast.
I do not have IBS, I’m very regular and eat lots of fiber and have no problem my my digestive system.

1.The cause of Chron’s disease is known, whereas the cause of ulcerative colitis isn’t known.
2. Chron’s disease can be found anywhere in the digestive tract, whereas ulcerative colitis is generally found in the colon and rectum.
3. Patients with both conditions benefit equally well from surgery.
4. Ulcerative colitis is remitting, whereas Chron’s disease is constant.
