Why do I get rectal pain during my period? Sometimes it is very sharp and stabbing like a sharp knife trying to come out of my rectal area, and other times is is just a whole, whole massive amount of dull presure on my rectal area. My doctor has scheduled a colonoscopy in October, but it is a couple weeks away and I am very very nervous, any ideas what it could be?
p.s. I also have a lot of pain with intercourse, my husband is very patient but we have been unable to figure out what is causing the pain.

I have very large uterine fibroids. I want to begin a program where I will cleanse out my colon, liver and kidneys. I want to start the colon cleanse first but am afraid that I will be stuck on the toilet. I am starting a new job tomorrow and can’t be stuck on the toilet with the runs. My 3 year old son is scheduled for a colonoscopy on friday. He has to take laxatives to cleanse his vowels and can only have liquids on thursday. The laxatives sounds painful and i don’t know how he will go about not eating for the whole day. Has anyone else gone through this?

My friend had Colon surgery three weeks ago and is still in a lot of pain, how long does it take to recover.

I been diagnose with irritable bowel syndrome for 4 years now and take medication daily called DICETEL. I don’t take dairy products.I drink soy breuvages instead.I would like to eat more vegetables but a lot of them give me diarhea.Some fruts gives me stomach cramps.What can i do ??
